In chosing to invite the public into the first day of work in the studio we continue to confront some questions about notions of presentation, artistic process, the role of the audience.. At what stage in the artistic process do the audience become part of the equation. How would we approach this first moment of work in the studio in which distinctions between process & product would remain suspended; what would the form be, how could the audience possibly engage with it.
En choisissant d’inviter le public à ce premier jour de travail en studio, nous continuons de nous confronter aux questions sur les notions de représentation, processus artistique, rôle du public. A quel moment dans le processus artistique, le public devient une partie de l’équation ? Comment allons-nous approcher ce premier moment de travail en studio, ou les distinctions entre processus et résultat sont suspendues, quelle en sera la forme, comment le public pourra s’y engager ?

This experimentation is an aspect of the choreographic project "territories in transgression" whose others aspects are a solo, choreographed and performed by Opiyo Okach : "Border border express", a quatuor "We don't care what flag you'r waving", creation in France in 2010 and at the Nairobi choreographic encounters 2009.
Cette expérimentation fait partie du projet chorégraphique « territoires en transgression » qui comprend un solo chorégraphié et interprété par Opiyo Okach : « Border border express », un quatuor : « We don’t care what flag you’r waving » (titre provisoire) création en France en 2010 et aux Rencontres chorégraphiques de Nairobi, oct 2009.
